He is survived by: his wife Helene Ann Good Burns; his children, Daniel L. Burns, III (Debbie), Robert K. Burns, Kenneth D. Burns (Elizabeth), Donna Burns Hodges (Phil) and David B. Burns; his granddaughters, Jacqueline Hodges and Danielle Hodges; his brother John "Jack" Burns (Edie); and his sisters-in-law, Anne Burns and Janice Robberson.
