It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Thurston of Culpeper, Virginia, who passed away on January 17, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parent Claude C. Herndon, Sr.; her husband David Vernon Thurston; and her siblings, Claude, Jr., Florence and Elizabeth.

She is survived by : her daughter Lou Ellen Thurston Miller (Michael) of Culpeper; her grandson Fielding Thurston Miller of Aspen, Colorado.; and her close friends, Patsy, Ron Frye, Jan, Wayne Carwile, Clark Taylor, Judy Gore and Kelli Wharton.
