Ellen H. Heltzel Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen H. Heltzel of Culpeper, Virginia, who passed away on May 20, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Earl Grant Heltzel; her parents, William Henry Hossley, Jr. and Cornelia Warren Hossley; her sister Lora Hossley Spicer; and her siblings-in-law, Melvin Spicer, Barbara Carpenter Heltzel and Roy Franklin Heltzel.

She is survived by: her children, Jamie Pittman (Jim), Kristi Woods (Gary) and Dennis Heltzel (Jean); her grandchildren, Lindsay Whalen (Kyle), Lauren Woods, Carly Heltzel, Lee Woods and Wesley Heltzel; and her great grandchildren, Lewis and Charles Whalen. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Culpeper Baptist Church (318 S West St, Culpeper, VA 22701). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
