He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nicholas and Elsea Mae Keesee; his son Joseph B. Keesee Jr. (Joey); his sister Betty Mae Scaggs; his brother-in-law Harvey Scaggs; his brother William Ivano Keesee (Betty Jane); and his brother-in-law Kenneth Scott Smith Sr. (Nancy).
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis R. Keesee (Phee); his daughter Debra K. Wayland (David); his grandchildren, Joseph Alan Wayland (Brittney) and Amy Schoderbek (Peter); his great grandchildren, Hayden and Harper Wayland; and his brother David Keesee (Judy) of High Point, NC..
