He is survived by: his wife Nora Kozlosky Rice; his daughters, Lorraine Sutphin (Chris) and Selena Loring Rice (Stephen Cattell); his grandchildren, Emily, C. J. and Gavin Sutphin; his siblings, Sue Shumaker, Michael Romesberg, Laird Romesberg, Brad Romesberg and MaryAnn Baskett; Rose Romesberg.
