He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Maurice and Locia Streets Ellington; his sister Mary Ellen Thompson; and his nephew William "Bill" Lee Thompson. He is survived by : his wife Barbara Deal Ellington; his children, Valerie Lynne Ellington, Maurice Vaughn Ellington and Angie Tennille Ellington Woodward (Michael Shawn Woodward); and his nephews, Edward Thompson (Crystal) and Stephen Thompson (Angela).
