He is survived by: his children, Wendell Yates (Tasha), Ryland Jones and Claudetina Washington; his grandchildren, Tatyana Yates, Jaesean Yates, Natalya White, Troy Jones, Darrel Hughes, Trizsean Washington, Essence Jones, Xavier Morton and Jakorey Jones; his great grandchildren, Aubree and Delilah Hughes; his siblings, George Yates (Gretchen), Matilda Poland and Molly Yates; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Yates and Patsy Yates. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.
