In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy St. Elmo leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though St. Elmo may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Delphia Ferguson. He is survived by: his wife Janette H. Smith of Culpeper, VA; his children, Malia Cropp (Wesley) of Culpeper, VA, Nathaniel Smith (Mitzi) of Fredericksburg, VA, Jared Smith (Samara) of Melborne and Shawn Smith (Stacey) of Fredericksburg, VA; and his siblings, Michael Smith (Barbara) of Washington, DC, Timothy Smith of Washington, DC, Margrette Kennedy (James) of Silver Spring, MD and Jasmine Jones of Washington, DC. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Morris Baptist Church (5342 Leeds Manor Rd, Hume, VA 22639). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at the Mt. Morris Community Cemetery (5342 Leeds Manor Rd, Hume, VA 22639).
