With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wiiliam Franklin Smoot of Culpeper, Virginia, who passed away on May 28, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Smoot and Goldie Anna Riley Smoot; his wife Frances Elizabeth "Wishie" Dwyer Smoot; and his brothers, Whitey and Bobby.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Smoot (William Aldridge) and Debbie Sisk (Kenny); his siblings, Elizabeth "Sis" Smoot and Gary Smoot; and his sister-in-law Kathy Atkins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Found and Sons Funeral Chapels & Cremation Service (850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper (850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (822 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701-2033).
