He is survived by: his wife Ellen Wheatcraft Moore; his daughter Monica Edens (Erich); his grandson Ian Edens; his children, Laura Craine (Paul) and Colin Moore (Jennifer); his grandson Matthew Moore; his daughter Victoria Hall (Jonathan); his granddaughter Catherine Reynolds (Timothy); his great grandchild Sean Moore (Jaime); his sons, Sean Moore, Robert Allen and Ryan Allen; his son-in-law Jonathan Hall; his grandchildren, Sydney Hall, Nathan Duff and Timothy Reynolds; his sons-in-law, Erich Edens, Paul Crane, Brian Choisser and Michael Duff; his grandsons, Christian Edens, Aidan Moore, Ace Moore and Bryce Allen; his great grandchild Remington Reynolds; Kennedy Moore, Aidan Moore, Ace Moore, Amanda Choisser (Brian), Jessica Duff (Michael), Nathan Duff, Rose Duff, Robert Allen (Heidi), Reese Allen, Reagan Allen, Ryan Allen (Ashley) and Bryce Allen.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Salem Volunteer Fire Department (13428 Scotts Mill Rd, Culpeper, VA 22701). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at the Culpeper National Cemetery (501 E Chandler St, Culpeper, VA 22701).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gary's name to Salem Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 1254, Culpeper, VA.
