He is survived by: his wife Merle Seal Watson; his children, Jennifer (Herbert) and Albert Franklin Watson Jr.; his grandchildren, Tyler and Brooke (Thomas); his great grandchild Paige; and his sisters, Shirley Watson Rindahl of Minnesota and Ruby Ross (Ernie) of Farmville, Virginia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Puckett Funeral Home (115 Covington Ct, Farmville, VA 23901). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Center Presbyterian Church (1542 Anderson Hwy, Cumberland, VA 23040).
