She was predeceased by : her parents, John Curtis and Elizabeth Curtis Sr.; her daughter Robyn Hampton; and her siblings, Julia Moore, John M. Curtis Jr. and Edison Douglas Curtis.

She is survived by : her daughter Gina Gaskins of Manassas; her foster daughter Marlene Ragel of Manassas; her siblings, Frances Robinson (Richard) of Winchester and Arthur Curtis, Sr. of Warrenton; her granddaughter Nikki Gaskins of Manassas; and her friends, Margaret Sanford and Ann Cartwright. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
