He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jones and Hannah Jones; his wife Beatrice Jones; his daughters, Maricia Jan and Teresa Cheryl Jones; and his siblings, Thomas "Junior" Jones, David Jones, Virginia James, Vivian Anderson, Dorothy "Dot" Goodman, Mildred Minnick DeBord and June Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Reda Jones; his grandchildren, Hannah Bush (Bart) and Nathan Farmer; his great grandchildren, Madelyn, Braylen, Isaac, Emory, Gavin, Marley and Jay; his niece Patsy Aker (Jimmy); and his nephew Keith James (Sue).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Abingdon Baptist Church.
