She was predeceased by : her parents, Don Hash and Doris Hash. She is survived by : her husband Steve Pennington; her daughter Rachel Pennington; and her siblings-in-law, Kathy Trivett, Wayne Pennington (Diane) and Terry Pennington (Nancy). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Green Cove Missionary Baptist Church (31024 Jeb Stuart Hwy, Damascus, VA 24236). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM.
