She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Betty (Bob Johnson) and Sally; her husband Edward Keyes; and her brothers, Danny Johnson and Joe Johnson. She was also cherished by twelve nieces and nephews and eight grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She placed her land into a permanent conservation easement with the Virginia Outdoors Foundation, a testament to her commitment to protecting open spaces for future generations.
