Albert Eugene Wray Obituary
Albert Eugene Wray, 60, of 2634 Cascade Mill Road, Cascade, VA, died on Monday, October 3, 2022.
Albert was born in Martinsville, VA on February 17, 1962, a son of the late Albert E. Wray and Rebecca Ann Heffinger Squires. He grew up in the Martinsville and the Eden areas before moving to Danville in 1984. He worked as a welder for many years and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
On February 14, 2004 he married Susan Guinn Wray, who survives.
In addition to his wife and mother, Albert is survived by his children, Brad Worley (Kim) and Kristin Worley (Sam Hardy); his grandchildren, Cameron C. Moss and Emily C. Moss; his brother, Kenneth Wray (Amy); his step-sisters, Joan S. Bryant (Mike) and Lee Ann Lecheler (Carl); his nephew, Tyler Wray; his nieces, Britney Wray and Heather Wray; and his faithful companion, Jake.
He was predeceased by his sister, Donna Wray; and his step-father, James "Buddy" Squires.
A graveside service for Albert will be conducted on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in Danville Memorial Gardens with Dr. Scott Bortz officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel.
