He is survived by: his wife Sandra Adams Hayes; his children, Latoria Hayes, Tracy Saunders, Karen Saunders, Alvin Hayes Jr. and Hugh Saunders; and his siblings, Arleen Ireland (Alan), Tina Hayes, Frederick Hayes Jr. and Phillip Hayes (Wanda). He is also survived by grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
