She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Benjamin Hanna and Josephine Hatcher Hanna; her husband Robert L Byrd; her children, Bonnie Byrd Mustain and Robert J. Byrd; her grandson Rob Byrd; her brothers, Marion Hanna Jr. and Rufus (Deanna Hanna); and her son-in-law Bill Lodge.
She is survived by: her sister Marcella Sasser of Augusta, GA; her children, Bill Byrd (Rebecca) of Pacific Grove, CA, Lila Neal of Danville, VA and Laura Lodge of Estes Park, CO; and her grandchildren, Rick Mustain (Kathy) of Hesperia, CA, Paul Mustain of Danville, VA, Jennifer Russell (Randy) of Lemont Furnace, PA, Lindsay Neal of Danville, VA, Michael Byrd (Vitalina) of Pacific Grove, CA and Katheryn Ellison (Michael). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
