He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Akers Sr. and Martha Chattin Akers; and his brothers, Asa Akers and Willie Akers. He is survived by: his wife Janice Akers; his children, Angel Hadnot (Chaukus), Alesha Akers and Archie Akers Jr.; his siblings, Martha Ann Akers, Margie Penn (John), Pam Taylor, James Akers (Bonnie), Johnnie Akers (Iris) and Kelvin Taylor; and his sisters-in-law, Celeste Akers and Lottie Akers. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
