It is with sadness that the passing of Barbara Oliver (Danville, Virginia) is shared. Barbara, born on January 12, 1936, passed away on September 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Barbara will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Barbara by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Barbara is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Barbara’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Price Bolton and Willie Bolton; and her brother Russell Bolton of Danville, Virginia.. She is survived by: her caregiver Aide; her niece Pattie Bolton Richmond (Kamerion); her friend Glen Colbert of Mount Vernon; her brothers, James Bolton (Nellie) of Danville and Clarence Bolton (Yvette) of Richmond, Virginia; and her sister-in-law Doris Bolton of Danville. She is also survived by her caregivers; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the High Street Baptist Church (630 High St, Danville, VA 24541). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
