He was predeceased by: his parents, Sally Lou Osborne Travis and Wade Hampton Travis Sr.; and his siblings, Wade Jr., Johnny, Clarence, Bruce Travis, Audrey McKinney, Anna Martin, Barbara Ann Travis and Betty Jean Travis.
He is survived by: his siblings, Vivian Thomas of Lakeland, FL, Lois T. Burnett (Bobby) of Providence, NC and Prophet Cobbs Jr.. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews as well as 2 great-great nieces.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Gospel Worship Center (3480 W Main St, Danville, VA 24541).
