She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob "Jake" Henry South and Eva Maness South; and her brother John Coolidge South. She is survived by: her children, Margaret B. Irby (Harold) of Gretna, VA and Peter B. Bailey (Kristi) of Ringgold, VA; her sisters, Dessie South Cox of New Castle, VA and Margaret South Hall of Eden, NC; her grandchildren, Nicholas Ryan Bailey (Katie), Caitlin Elizabeth Bailey and Noah Benjamin Irby; and her great grandchild Fiona Blue Bailey. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
