She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt Scott and Lennis Dillard Scott; and her sisters, Rosetta Cobbs, Geraldine Hood and Ernestine Winslow.
She is survived by: her husband James Beasley; her children, Rhonda Hairston (Gerald) of Martinsville, VA, Deborah K. Thomas of Danville, VA, Jeffrie Scott (Ruby) of Danville, VA and Jerry Scott (Mattie) of Galesburg, IL; and her siblings, Lennis A. Wilson of Danville, VA, Loretta Womack (Bobby) of Leasburg, NC, Estelle Johnson (Henry) of Semora, NC, Roosevelt Scott, Jr. (Hazel) of Danville, VA and Tony Scott of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, August 26th 2027 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Vance Street Missionary Baptist Church (206 Vance St, Danville, VA 24540).
