He was predeceased by: his parents, Gracie Elizabeth Manley Franklin and Willard Thomas Franklin. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Harville Franklin; his son Robert Franklin of Danville, VA.; his sister Pat Pruitt (Duane) of Danville, VA.; and his nephew Keith Pruitt.
