He was predeceased by: his parents, Naomi Louise Whitner Wright and Joseph Wright; and his siblings, Joseph "Jack" Wright, Helen Wiles and Carolyn W. Brinchfield.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Dalton Wright; his children, Bobby G. Wright Jr. and Susan Gail Beaver (Robert); his brother Steve Wright of Danville, VA; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Ashley (Ryan) and Heather. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
