He is survived by: his wife Betty Hudgins Brumfield; his daughters, Robin Brumfield Ruffin (Bob) of Morehead City, NC and Jill Brumfield Blankenship (Frankie Womack) of Keeling, VA; his grandchildren, Cutler Blankenship of Fredericksburg, VA, Zachary Ruffin of Mill Creek, NC, Rainey McKinney (Jacob) of Halifax, VA, Mariah Springs (Jason) of Ringgold, VA and Allison Womack of Danville, VA; his great grandchildren, Jericho and Eden Springs; and his pet Lettie McKinney.
