She is survived by: her parents, Jerry Griffin and Carolyn Payne Garland (William); her husband Vernon Knight; her son Garrison Payne Adams of Capital Heights, MD; her stepdaughter Joy Hughley (Corey) of Upper Marlboro, MD; and her sisters, Rosiland Witcher (Charles) of Danville, VA and Pattie Richmond (Scott) of Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
