He was predeceased by: his parents, James Leonard Gray and Alice Smith Gray; his wife Charlotte Brown Gray; his stepson Raymond D. Busby; and his siblings, Doris Reynolds, Gladys McDowell and Averette Gray.

He is survived by: his siblings, Beatrice G. Holley and James W. Gray; his nieces and nephews, Linda Hardy, Sandra Finney (Darrell), Kathy Blalock (Dennis), Becky Bennett, Debbie Powell, Amy Holley, Karen Gammons, Janice Boyd (Artis), Alyce Dantzler (David), Michael Reynolds and Rev. Kenneth Gray; and his cousin David Gray (Kathy). He is also survived by many friends and neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
