He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“My heart is broken with the passing of our dear friend Charles. He was a wonderful friend to me and my husband Harold. We were always so happy to see him and Sue. They always sung I'll Fly Away because it was Harold's favorite and they sung it at his funeral. Charles had a beautiful voice and Sue also sung with her beautiful voice. Charles was a kind and humble man and served others with love and compassion. He will be missed so much by all that were blessed to know him.”
