He was predeceased by: his parents, George S. Wood and Claudia Eva Agee; his wife Thelma Thomas Wood; and his siblings, Ben Harris Jr., Esmond Harris, Marvin Harris, Rufus Wood and Virginia Hodges.
He is survived by: his children, Jean Fowlkes (Sam) and James Wood (Mitzi); and his grandchildren, Justin Creech, Megan Wood Weatherford, Michael Wood, Jaime Wood and Jon Wood.
