She was predeceased by: her parents, Delano Akiens and Betty Petty Jones; and her sister Victoria Thomas. She is survived by: her daughters, Kieara Petty, Cynteia Petty and Jasmine Adkins; and her siblings, Tonya Petty, Phyllis Lipscomb (Harvey), Lisa Lipscomb (Eric), Yolanda Eaton, Delano Hairston, Al Hairston (Teresa) and Deon Hairston. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Service and Cremation (179 Piney Forest Rd, Danville, VA 24540).
