He is survived by: his wife Mary Elaine Holland Averett; his children, India Averett of High Point, NC, Keon Averett of Danville, VA and Kofe Averett of Danville, VA; his grandchildren, Syi'Niya Brandon of High Point, NC, Londynn Merced of High Point, NC, Kylie Averett of Reidsville, NC, Ny'Syr Brandon of High Point, NC and Kofe Darnell Averett, Jr. of Greensboro, NC; and his sisters, Thelma Averett of Baltimore, MD and Essie Averett of Danville, VA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home (707 Wilson St, Danville, VA 24541). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
