He was predeceased by: his grandchild Jermaine Cobbs; and his siblings, Esther Williams, Earl Brandon, John Warren and Michael Oliver.
He is survived by: his daughter Jeanette Cobbs of Danville, Virginia; and his siblings, Martha Giggett of Danville Virginia, Susan Robertson (Victor) of Danville Virginia, Mary Jennings of Milton, Lillie Brooks (Nathan) of Blairs, Virginia and Willie Cobbs (Claira) of Danville Virginia. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and many cherished friends.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Unity Baptist Fellowship Church (104 Banner St, Danville, VA 24541). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at the Pleasant Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery (7017 Rocksprings Rd, Sutherlin, VA 24594).
