He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Washington Cook and Edna Garrett Cook; his wife Linda Kaye Gilbert; his sister Patsy (Bob); and his brothers-in-law, Bob and Jimmy.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian Cook (Eve) of Roanoke, VA and Andy Cook (Katie) of Huntersville, NC; his grandchildren, Kaleb, Kyle, Laine, Kamden, Myers, Banks, Crews and Livie Kate; and his siblings, Reva (Jimmy) and Larry (Pam). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
