She was predeceased by: her parents, Lacey Dodson of Danville, VA. and Lucille Smith of Danville, VA.; her sons, Andrew Smith, Melvin Smith and Jermay Smith; and her stepdaughter Tabatha Holloway.

She is survived by: her husband Sherman Douglas Lee; her daughters, Shermaine Smith, Latoya Jordan (Patrick), Samantha Wilborne (Ryan) and Shellie Williams (Travis); and her siblings, Beatrice Hibbit, Sylvia Smith, Lorenzo Smith and Harold Smith. She is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
