She was predeceased by: her parents, Gurney Ward and Elsie Strader Ward; and her spouse Jesse William Turner, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Janie T. Cobb (Mike) of Yanceyville, NC and Jesse W. Turner, Jr. (Jackie) of Hubert, NC; and her siblings, Marvin W. Ward (Tin) of Bristow and Lorene W. Joyce of Boones Mills. She is also survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
