It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl Wayne Shepherd Jr. (Danville, Virginia), who passed away on December 9, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, MaryAnn Barber Shepherd and Earl Wayne Shepherd Sr.; his siblings, Randy Leon Shepherd, Suzette Shepherd and Hope Shepherd; his grandparents, William M., Mollie Wray Shepherd, Samuel and Mary Jo Cayton Barber; and his mother-in-law Laura Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Williams Shepherd; his daughters, Ashley Shepherd (Ronnie Satterfield) and Kaci Shepherd of Covington, VA; his siblings, William "Eddie" Shepherd, Tony L. Shepherd, Matthew S. Shepherd, Julie S. Watlington (Danny) and Christine S. Crider (Steve); his grandchildren, Thomas Moore Jr., Katelynn Stiles, Mathew Stiles, Dallas Richardson, Mariah Richardson, Heather Early and Peyton Fuller; his sister-in-law Jackie W. Minter; his stepdaughter Karen Early; his father-in-law Jack Williams; and his caregiver Rebecca. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the North Danville Church of Christ, 519 Iris Lane, Danville, VA 24540 or to the Danville/ Pittsylvania County Cancer Association, 223 Riverside Drive, Suite J., Danville, VA 24541.
