He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Giggetts and Addie Richardson; his wife Clara Swann Richardson; his son Charles E. Swann Sr.; and his grandson Montario Payne.
He is survived by: his daughter Ernestine Payne of Danville, VA; and his granddaughter Jessica Payne of Glen Burnie, MD. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church (220 Vandola Church Rd, Danville, VA 24541).
