With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edith Lane Vicks of Danville, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 29, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Robert Lane, Sr. and Hester Williams Lane; her husband William James Vicks; and her siblings, Arthur Robert Lane, Jr., Albert Edward Lane, James Edward Lane, Evelyn L. Arthur, Irene L. Salutorz and Freda L. Forward.
She is survived by: her children, Larry W. Vicks (Marion) of Lynchburg, VA, Rev. Frederick J. Vicks (Phyllis) of Danville, VA and Wanda V. Haynes (Steve) of Danville, VA; and her grandchildren, Angela Vicks High, Woodrow Steven Haynes, II (Erin), Frederick James Vicks, II (Bobbi), Kevin Pollard Vicks (Stacy), David Berkley Vicks (Heather) and Andrew Overton Vicks (Katie). She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
