She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Cecil Canady and Roma Lee Reed Canady; her spouse Charlie S. Ferguson, Jr.; her son-in-law Mark Jarrett; her brother Ray Canady; and her grandson Nathaniel Jarrett.

She is survived by: her children, Randall Ferguson of Arlington, VA, Susan Ferguson of Danville, VA and Karen Jarrett of Sutherlin, VA; her grandchildren, Mindy Tedeschi (Vincent) and Brandon Jarrett; her great grandchild Joey Tedeschi; and her sister Marie Haraway.
