He was predeceased by: his parents, Newton Thomas Cassada, Sr. and Willie Slaughter Cassada of Danville; his siblings, Helen Cassada Astin, Newton T. Cassada, Jr. and Lettie Jean Cassada Collins; and his daughter Sharon Kaye Cassada.
He is survived by: his wife Ramona Scarce Cassada; his children, Patti Cassada Merricks (Donald) and Edward B. Cassada, Jr. (Lori) of Danville; his siblings, Carolyn Owen of Mount Holly, N. C. and Boyd "Butch" Cassada (Winnie) of Danville; his grandchildren, Lori Merricks of Danville, D. Merricks (Corrie) of Wilmore, Kentucky, Elizabeth Cassada Ballard (Glenn) of Utrecht, Netherlands and Edward B. Cassada (Beau); and his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Ezra, Phoebe, Liam and Corbin.
