We are sad to announce that on April 30, 2024, at the age of 24, Elijah Laquon Kirby of Danville, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Elijah Laquon may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elijah Laquon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his parents, Melissa Harris Mendenhall (Curtis Mendenhall) and Timothy Kirby; his siblings, Anasisa Kirby, Derrick Mendenhall, Donte Mendenhall, Damier Mendenhall, Darius Mendenhall and Timothy Kirby; his grandmothers, Rosetta Harris, Carolyn Fitzgerald and Janice Metts; and his great-grandparent Inez Mendenhall. He is also survived by loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
