It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ellen Elizabeth Turner of Danville, Virginia, who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Virginia Wilson Chumley and Markey Chumley; her husband Frank Turner; her daughters, Wendy Wilkins and Shelby Huggins; and her sisters, Christine Haynes, Joan Carter and Louise Owens.

She is survived by : her children, Diane McMurry, Kathy Bowman (Ray), James Gauldin, Jr. (Penny) and Calvin Woodard; and her sister Helen Wilkerson. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
