She was predeceased by: her parents, Esther Parker and Martha Craft Parker; her husbands, Gary Hilton George and Isaac Ezell Mathlery; and her siblings, Edward Parker, Ester Beasley, Helen Owen and Hilda Basham.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janice George Holt (James) of Danville and Lynne George Phelps (Philip) of Mooresville, NC; her grandchildren, Jamie Holt (Michele), Janet Durham (Wayne) and Scott Phelps (Michelle); her great grandchildren, Parker Holt, Hallie Holt and Emily Durham; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Desiree Durham, Brianna Durham, Dalton Smith and Addison Smith.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Blairs Baptist Church, 5260 US Highway 29 Blairs, Virginia 24527 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road Statesville, North Carolina 28625.
