With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Essel Leigh of Danville, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 22, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Essel shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Essel farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wesley Knowles and Mary Stewart Knowles; and her siblings, William Knowles, John D. Knowles, Tommie Knowles and Shelby Barnes.
She is survived by: her siblings, Stewart Knowles (Modine) and Lisa Gammon.
