She was predeceased by: her husband Spiros B. Skenderis; her parents, John D. Fallis and Harikleia J. Fallis; her in-laws, Basil S. and Margaret B. Skenderis; her sister Mary; and her brother-in-law George J. Zourzoukis.
She is survived by: her son Dr. Basil S.; her daughter-in-law Roxanne Skenderis; her grandchildren, Spiros of Virginia Beach and Marcella of Virginia Beach; her sister Androniki J. Fallis of Columbia, SC; her sibling's children, Constantine Zourzoukis of Asheville, NC, Dimitrios Zourzoukis of Asheville, NC, John and Susan Zourzoukis; her great-niece Anastasia of Columbia, SC; her great-nephew Connor Watson of Columbia, SC; her sibling's children, George and Sarah Zourzoukis of Charleston, SC; her godchildren, Katherine Pappas, Virginia Beach and Andy Maurakis; Penelope Watson of Columbia and Mary-Mason Zourzoukis of Charleston. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Frances Skenderis to St. Peter's Greek Orthodox Church and the Spiros B. Skenderis Scholarship of the Community Foundation of the Dan River Region.
