He was predeceased by: his parents, Estelle Lewis Saunders and Prophet Isaiah Saunders Sr.; and his siblings, James "Ed" Saunders, Andrew Saunders, Prophet Isaiah Saunders Jr., Nettie Mae Glass, Brenda Saunders Cardwell, Elizabeth Ann Saunders Hall and Ophelina Saunders Carey.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Jackson Saunders; his children, Franklin Saunders of Roanoke, VA, Cameo Calloway (Carley) of Danville, VA, Howard Miller of Danville, VA and Angel Collins; and his grandchildren, Tyrece Martin, Ice Allen, Mulan Calloway and Kira Calloway. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Residence of Anita Dillard (342 Future Seeland Rd, Danville, VA 24541). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Home's Mt. Hermon Chapel (3995 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, VA 24540).
