He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Carrigan and Thelma Carrigan; his wife Martha Elizabeth Carrigan; his son Jeffrey Lynn Carrigan; and his brother Harold Carrigan.

He is survived by: his children, Carol Caldwell (Chris), Steven Carrigan (Connie) and Susan Carrigan; his grandchildren, Catherine Carter (James) and Lauren Carrigan (John Smith); his great grandchildren, Christopher James Carter and Noah Grady Carter; his nephew Charles Lee (Aew); his great-niece Jeanette Nicholson; and his daughter Mildred Herndon. He is also survived by his wife's best friend, honorary sister and godmother.
