He was predeceased by : his parents, Homer Welcher Marshall and Nellie May Marshall; his spouse Gerelene Quesenberry Marshall; and his granddaughter Nicole Russell. He is survived by : his children, Vickie Baker (Randy) and Mike Marshall (Terri); his stepsons, Jake Turman and Mike Turman; his brother Jerry Marshall; and his grandchildren, Angel Thomas and Michelle Painter. He is also survived by three step grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Swicegood Funeral Home (564 W Main St, Danville, VA 24541). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, May 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Danville Memorial Gardens (510 Church Ave, Danville, VA 24541).
