It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hope Elaine Thomasson Cook of Danville, Virginia, who passed away on November 29, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Leonard Thomasson, Sr. and Viola Green Thomasson; her former husband James D. Ellis; her husband Wesley Coleman Wyatt; her brothers, Ralph L. Thomasson, Jr. and John E. Thomasson; and her nephew Richard Griffin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy Tucker of Ringgold, VA and Gayle Quintana (Manuel) of Marco Island, FL; her sisters, Martha Doss of Hurt, VA and Helen Rowe of San Antonio, TX; her grandchildren, Shanna Jones, Nathan Bray (Emily), Robert Bray (Eva), Keegan (Tyler) of Arizona, Kevin Quintana, Victoria Angle (Anthony) and Dawn Wilkes; her great grandchildren, Hailey, Wyatt, Kaydance, Braden, Jordan, Arwen, Eowyn, Georgia Grace and Vanessa; and her nieces and nephews, Donald Griffin, Brian Thomasson, Robin Doss and Wendy Eanes (Jeff).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel (5858 Riverside Dr, Danville, VA 24541). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
